Description:

The Head Sourcing (Corporate) will lead the organizations strategic sourcing agenda across all non-plant, corporate, and group-wide procurement categories. The role is responsible for building a cost-efficient, transparent, and future-ready sourcing ecosystem that supports Tridents business growth, digital transformation, sustainability commitments, and operational excellence. Sourcing experience of all, except cotton - stores spares dyes chemicals thread - boxes, cartons - 1000 cr spend

Key Responsibilties:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership:

- Develop and execute group-wide sourcing strategies across corporate and business unit categories.

- Build long-term supplier partnerships and create value through cost optimization, innovation, and reliability.

- Conduct make-vs-buy analysis, demand consolidation, and total-cost-of-ownership based decision making.

Procurement Operations & Governance:

- Ensure compliant, transparent, and efficient procurement processes across the group.

- Strengthen vendor management processes including empanelment, performance evaluation, risk assessment, and contract governance.

- Implement standardized procurement policies, SOPs, SLAs, and performance dashboards.

Commercial Excellence:

- Lead negotiations for strategic contracts and corporate agreements.

- Deliver annual savings targets through strategic levers (volume leverage, competitive bidding, alternate sourcing, etc.).

- Drive cost benchmarking, spend analytics, and market intelligence to support commercial decisions.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with finance, IT, HR, operations, and leadership teams to align sourcing strategies with business priorities.

- Serve as a strategic advisor to business heads on procurement models, vendor selection, and commercial risks.

Digital & Process Transformation:

- Champion digital procurement, e-tendering, e-catalogues, process automation, and analytics-based decision making.

- Drive adoption of SAP/Ariba/other procurement tools across the group.

- Enable sustainability-linked sourcing practices in line with Tridents ESG objectives.

Qualification & Experience:

- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or related fields.

- 1218+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/indirect procurement (preferably in large manufacturing or diversified conglomerates).

- Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide sourcing and delivering cost, process, and digital transformation outcomes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation excellence.

- Expertise in strategic sourcing, indirect procurement, and category management.

- Deep understanding of procurement governance, compliance, and vendor risk management.

- Experience with SAP/MM, digital procurement tools, and data analytics.

- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.

- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-business environment.
