Head - Sourcing

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Leader with strong exposure to the China manufacturing ecosystem, preferably within the Power Tools industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across direct materials, components, and contract manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the overall strategic sourcing strategy aligned with business and cost objectives.

- Manage sourcing of direct materials, components, assemblies, and finished products.

- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers across the China manufacturing ecosystem.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.

- Lead supplier negotiations covering cost, quality, capacity, lead time, and commercial terms.

- Drive cost optimization, supplier consolidation, and value-engineering initiatives.

- Manage contract manufacturing partnerships and supplier performance.

- Develop alternate sources and mitigate supply chain and geopolitical risks.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product teams.

- Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, commodity movements, and manufacturing capacity.

- Establish supplier governance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement programs.

Required Candidate Profile:

- 12-18 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing.

- Strong experience in the Power Tools industry or related engineering or manufacturing sectors.

- Extensive exposure to the China supplier and manufacturing ecosystem is mandatory.

- Candidates based in China are preferred, but candidates from any country with strong China market exposure can be considered.

- Proven experience managing direct materials, components, and contract manufacturing.

- Strong supplier negotiation, cost management, and strategic sourcing skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Ability to travel internationally and work with global supplier networks.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with electromechanical components, motors, batteries, tools, or industrial products.

- Strong understanding of Chinese manufacturing capabilities and supplier networks.

- Experience in supplier development, localization, and value engineering.

- Mandarin language skills would be an added advantage.
