This role builds that network from the ground up and then runs it. The role has two phases with one owner throughout: builder (land to commissioning) and operator (stabilization to steady-state network performance).

- Lead plant operations and steel service centre development.

- Manage land acquisition and related strategic activities.

- Establish and develop a complete service centre from scratch.

- Oversee end-to-end execution, commissioning, and operational readiness.

Candidate profile

Must-have:

- 20+ years in flat-steel processing, steel service centres or downstream steel manufacturing

- 5+ years as Plant Head / Works Head of a steel service centre or coil processing facility

- Led at least one greenfield or major brownfield plant project end to end (land or design through commissioning)

- Hands-on depth in CTL, slitting, blanking and coil handling equipment, and in sourcing it globally

- Proven P&L or cost-centre ownership with clear results on yield, OEE and conversion cost

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production or Electrical Engineering

Preferred:

- Experience with a large integrated steel producer's service center arm, or a leading independent / JV service center

- Multi-plant or network leadership across state
