The role:

- A Project Controls Senior Manager / Head is a senior position responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and risk management of projects.

- The role is crucial for ensuring that a project stays within its scope and timeline.

- The director supervises a team of project controls professionals and works closely with other departments to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- As a Project Controls Senior Manager / Head, you will be responsible for several key functions that are essential to project success.

- These include:

- Project Scheduling: This involves setting realistic timelines for each phase of the project and making sure that deadlines are met to keep project(s) on track to avoid delays that can lead to increased costs.

- Risk Management: You must anticipate potential issues that could affect the project and devise strategies to minimize or mitigate those risks.

- Having a proactive approach to risk management is a critical skill and direct past experience must be demonstrated

- Project Reporting: A Project Controls Senior Manager / Head needs to provide regular reports to stakeholders and senior management on the projects progress.

- These reports often include detailed metrics and analyses of the projects schedule, and overall performance.

- Team Management: The Project Controls Senior Manager / Head must ensure that all team members are equipped with the tools and knowledge to perform their tasks efficiently.

Requirements for this role:

- A degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.)

- Minimum 15 years project controls experience for large scale infrastructure and/or building (high rise, industrial & commercial) projects

- Experience in mission critical projects is an added advantage

- Strong working knowledge in Primavera P6 and Microsoft projects

- Ability to create precise reports for management reporting

- Experience in carrying out delay analysis

- Ability to forecast potential delays

- Knowledge in forms of contracts (PAM, JKR, IEM, FIDIC etc) will be an added advantage
