Head/Senior Manager - Fiscal & Regulatory Strategy - Regulated Sector

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead fiscal strategy and regulatory affairs for our India operations. This role is pivotal in shaping a stable, predictable, and sustainable tax and regulatory environment aligned with business objectives and global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fiscal Strategy Development: Analyze fiscal trends, legislative changes, and regulatory developments impacting the industry. Formulate and execute coherent fiscal strategies.

- Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy: Build strong relationships with government bodies (MOF, CBIC, GST Council, State Excise Departments) and advocate for harm-reduction-oriented policies.

- Policy Communication: Prepare policy briefs, advocacy materials, and presentations ensuring alignment with regional and global positions.

- Excise & Tax Modeling: Monitor excise collections and develop tax modeling capabilities for scenario planning.

- Regulatory Affairs: Support timely product and pricing approvals; interpret fiscal laws and regulations.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to assess fiscal implications of new products and pricing strategies.

- Reporting & Intelligence: Maintain fiscal intelligence dashboards and provide timely updates to senior management.

- Global Alignment: Represent India in regional/global forums and contribute to initiatives like COP and WHO FCTC discussions.

Qualifications:

Education: Masters degree in Economics, Public Policy, Law, or related field.

Experience: 8 - 12 years in fiscal policy, regulatory affairs, or government relations, preferably in FMCG,Alcobev or highly regulated industries.

Skills: Strong understanding of Indias fiscal landscape, stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
