Head - Sales - Power & Utilities Sector

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and strengthen long-term relationships with major electrical OEMs, State Electricity Boards, and Utilities.
- Work closely with business head during the transition phase to gain exposure to existing customer relationships, tendering approaches, and operational practices, ensuring smooth continuity.
- Identify new business opportunities, track competitor movements, and implement strategic initiatives to retain and expand key accounts.
- Oversee the complete tendering lifecycle for State DISCOMs, Utilities, and large industrial customers from bid preparation and submission to order execution and payment realization.
- Ensure adherence to tender specifications, statutory norms, and internal company policies.
- Monitor tender outcomes and maintain strong engagement with procurement and technical teams of key customers.
- Drive domestic sales growth by identifying new markets, applications, and customer segments.
- Participate in technical discussions, industry seminars, and exhibitions to enhance market visibility and brand presence.
- Ensure timely execution of orders, coordination with dispatch teams, and follow-up for collections. Monitor receivables closely and maintain financial discipline across all transactions.
- Lead, motivate, and guide a team of sales professionals to achieve assigned business targets.
- Foster a performance-oriented, collaborative, and growth-focused team culture.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India to engage with customers, review business performance, and explore new growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.E. / B. Tech with minimum 20 years of experience in Electrical goods Industry.
- Demonstrated experience in key account management, tender handling, and utility business.
- Strong leadership background in managing large, geographically spread teams and customer base.
- Strategic thinking with strong customer orientation.
- Hands on knowledge of CRM & SAP is must.
