Head - Sales - Pharma Water & Process Systems

We are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to drive the strategy, growth, and execution of high-value turnkey projects in purified water, clean utilities, and process systems for the pharmaceutical industry.

This role requires strong technical depth, CXO-level relationship management, and a proven record in capital equipment/project sales in Pharma Industry

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

- Lead full-cycle sales for a - 500-1000 Cr Capex portfolio.

- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for pharma water, process & clean utility systems.

- Strengthen senior-level relationships across pharma engineering, project, and procurement teams.

Technical & Commercial Solutioning:

- Understand URS, clean utility requirements, and technical specifications.

- Partner with proposals, design, and costing teams to deliver competitive solutions.

- Present proposals and lead technical/commercial discussions with client stakeholders.

Customer & Market Engagement:

- Act as the primary face of Company for pharma accounts.

- Identify new project opportunities and whitespace across major pharma hubs.

- Lead bid management, pricing, negotiations, and closure of project orders.

Team Leadership:

- Manage and mentor a 15-25 member sales team (Zonal Managers, KAMs).

- Drive funnel discipline, forecast accuracy, and regional performance.

- Build a high-performance, growth-oriented sales culture.

Governance & Sales Operations

- Track win/loss trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.

- Ensure smooth handover to execution and service teams.

- Maintain revenue visibility, margin control, and pipeline health.

Candidate Requirements:

- 15-20 years in project/solution sales for pharma/biotech utilities, purified water systems, cleanrooms, WTP/STP, or process equipment.

- Experience handling - 250-500 Cr sales portfolios.

- Strong industry network with pharma leaders (Cipla, Zydus, Biocon, Aurobindo, etc.)

- Proven track record managing large, distributed sales teams.

- B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation); MBA preferred.

- Expertise in technical solution selling, bid management, pricing, and multi-stakeholder engagement.

- Coming from the Pharma Process would be recommended specially Biotech or Injectables
