Job Title: Head of Sales

Location: Mumbai

About the Organization:

- A fast-growing, education-focused fintech platform.

Role Overview:

- The Head of Sales is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for revenue generation, P&L accountability, and business growth.

- The role involves building and executing scalable sales strategies, expanding mutual fund distribution, growing the sub-broker network, and driving diversified asset class sales.

- The ideal candidate will bring strong B2C sales experience within BFSI, deep expertise in investment products such as Mutual Funds, Insurance, and Wealth Products, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and P&L targets.

- Identify new business opportunities and evolving market trends.

Mutual Fund Distribution & Growth:

- Lead and expand mutual fund distribution channels.

- Drive growth in Assets Under Management (AUM).

- Monitor industry and market developments.

Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure all sales activities and partner operations adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Sub-Broker Network Development:

- Build, expand, and manage a high-performing sub-broker network.

- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and relationship management.

- Drive productivity while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Diversified Asset Class Sales:

- Enable cross-selling across asset classes including insurance, bonds, and other financial products.

- Train internal teams and distribution partners.

Team Leadership:

- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.

- Foster a performance-driven and growth-oriented culture.

Client Management & Reporting:

- Strengthen client relationships.

- Conduct market research and performance analysis.

- Provide actionable insights to leadership for strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile:

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial services sales, with a strong track record in the Mutual Fund industry.

- Experience handling B2B sales is preferred.

- Strong expertise in financial investment products such as mutual funds and wealth management solutions.

- Prior experience in fintech or wealth management environments is highly preferred.

- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

- MBA or advanced qualification preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Deep understanding of financial services and investment markets.

- Proven P&L management experience.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability.

- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment.

- Results-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
