We are looking for a seasoned business leader to build, scale, and own the Modular Kitchen vertical end-to-end. This role will be responsible for P&L ownership, driving revenue growth, setting up scalable operations, and creating a differentiated customer experience across design, sales, manufacturing, and installation.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of commercial acumen, operations expertise, and consumer mindset, with prior experience in modular kitchens, home interiors, furniture, or allied categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & P&L Leadership:
- Own the P&L for the Modular Kitchen business, including revenue, margins, cost optimization, and profitability
- Define and execute the business growth strategy across channels (retail studios, franchise, D2C, B2B, partnerships)
- Set annual operating plans, budgets, and KPIs; track performance rigorously
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Drive top-line growth through studio sales, channel partners, architects & designers, and digital leads
- Build and lead high-performing sales and design teams
- Improve conversion rates, average ticket size, and customer lifetime value
Product & Category Management:
- Lead product strategy including design ranges, materials, finishes, pricing architecture, and customization models
- Work closely with design and sourcing teams to ensure trend relevance, quality, and cost efficiency
- Identify opportunities for adjacent categories (wardrobes, appliances, accessories)
Operations & Supply Chain:
- Oversee manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and installation to ensure on-time delivery and quality
- Optimize vendor partnerships, manufacturing capacity, and installation timelines
- Reduce wastage, rework, and service escalations through process improvements
Customer Experience & Brand:
- Own the end-to-end customer journey from lead to installation and post-installation service
- Ensure consistent service standards and high NPS across locations
- Work closely with marketing and brand teams to strengthen positioning in the modular kitchen category
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor leadership across sales, operations, design, and project management
- Drive a culture of accountability, speed, and customer-first thinking
Key Requirements:
Experience & Background:
- 12-18+ years of experience in Modular Kitchens, Home Interiors, Furniture, Retail, or Consumer Durables
- Prior experience handling P&L or business unit ownership is mandatory
- Strong exposure to sales-driven environments and multi-city operations
- Experience working with design-led, customized products preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Deep understanding of the modular kitchen ecosystem (design, manufacturing, installation)
- Ability to scale businesses from growth to maturity
- Data-driven decision maker with a hands-on leadership style
- Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership skills
