Role Overview:
- We are seeking a seasoned and result- driven Head of Sales to lead our national and international sales initiatives.
- The ideal candidate brings strong B2B experience, deep understanding of manufacturing sales cycles, and a demonstrated ability to scale revenue and markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth across domestic and international markets.
- Identify and capture opportunities across key sectors including railways, engineering equipment, oil & gas, aerospace, defense, mining, and automotive.
- Lead the full sales cycle - lead generation, technical discussions, negotiations, and closure.
- Expand export business while ensuring adherence to international trade compliance, documentation, and statutory requirements.
- Strengthen long- term relationships with key stakeholders, including PSUs, OEMs, and strategic accounts.
Market Expansion & Business Intelligence:
- Track market trends, customer requirements, technological advancements, and pricing movements.
- Anticipate customer needs and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Conduct competitor assessments, develop differentiation strategies, and refine go- to- market positioning.
- Represent the company at industry forums, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand equity and business reach.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a robust sales team serving both domestic and international territories.
- Set sales targets, monitor KPIs, and drive accountability for consistent performance.
- Foster a proactive, value- driven, customer- centric culture within the sales organization.
Revenue Growth & Strategic Reporting:
- Drive profitable growth aligned with business objectives and profitability targets.
- Prepare data- backed business performance dashboards and MIS reports for senior management.
- Monitor pricing structure, payment terms, and contractual compliance to safeguard margins
Experience:
- Minimum 15+ years of B2B sales experience, with 8+ years in a leadership role in steel, metal, materials, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record in managing both domestic and export markets.
- Strong understanding of specialty steel products, applications, and industrial buying processes.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft/Google Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently within India and internationally.
