Hiring: Head of Sales

About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned sales leader to drive revenue growth and build a high-performance sales organization within a large industrial/manufacturing setup. This role will focus on strengthening sales strategy, improving execution discipline, and enabling consistent performance across business units and markets.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Sales Leadership
- Own overall sales performance, including revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability
- Define and drive sales strategy across multiple business units and customer segments
- Ensure alignment of sales priorities with broader business objectives
Sales Operations & Excellence
- Establish structured sales processes, governance frameworks, and execution models
- Improve pipeline management, pricing discipline, and account planning practices
- Drive standardization and consistency in sales execution across regions
Performance Management
- Build robust tracking mechanisms with clear KPIs, dashboards, and review cadences
- Monitor performance trends and drive timely interventions to close gaps
- Enable a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large, diverse sales organization
- Strengthen team capabilities in consultative selling, commercial acumen, and customer management
- Foster a high-performance, execution-focused culture
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams
- Ensure alignment between demand generation, supply planning, and customer commitments
Continuous Improvement
- Drive transformation initiatives to enhance sales productivity and efficiency
- Leverage insights and market feedback to refine strategies and execution approaches
Candidate Profile
- 20+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within industrial or manufacturing sectors
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, Pan-India sales operations
- Strong exposure to both strategy and on-ground execution
- Experience in driving structured sales processes and performance management systems
- Engineering background preferred, with additional management qualification being an advantage
