The organization is an education-focused fintech platform designed to help Indian families plan, save, and fund their childrens education.
Role Overview:
The Head of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end revenue generation and P&L ownership. This position will play a critical role in scaling the sales function, driving growth across mutual fund distribution, expanding the sub-broker network, and contributing to the sale of multiple financial asset classes.
The role requires deep experience in B2C sales within the BFSI sector, strong understanding of investment products, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and P&L targets
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth
Mutual Fund Distribution & Growth:
- Lead and expand mutual fund distribution channels
- Drive growth in Assets Under Management (AUM)
- Stay updated on market and investment trends
Compliance:
- Ensure all sales activities and partner operations adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies
Sub-Broker Network Development:
- Build, expand, and manage a high-performing sub-broker network
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, and relationship management
- Maximize productivity while ensuring compliance
Diversified Asset Class Sales:
- Enable sales of additional asset classes such as insurance and bonds
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and train teams and partners accordingly
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement
Client Management & Performance Analysis:
- Build strong client relationships
- Conduct market analysis and track sales performance
- Provide insights and reports to support strategic decision-making
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales within the financial services sector
- Proven track record of driving revenue and achieving sales targets, particularly in mutual fund distribution
- Experience handling B2B sales is preferred
- Strong exposure to investment products such as mutual funds, wealth management, or related financial services
- Experience in fintech or wealth management environments is highly preferred
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- MBA or other advanced qualifications are an added advantage

- Deep understanding of financial services and investment products
- Strong P&L management capability, including budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven leadership and people management abilities
