Job Summary: The Head of Import and Export Sales will lead and oversee the company's import and export sales operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to expand the company's presence in international markets, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, and managing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international sales, export-import procedures, and team management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Market Analysis and Strategy: - Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in international markets. - Develop and implement effective sales strategies for import and export markets. - Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly. 2. Team Management: - Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, export coordinators, and logistics specialists. - Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching. 3. Sales Operations: - Oversee all import and export sales activities, ensuring seamless order processing, shipment, and delivery. - Manage relationships with distributors, agents, and international customers. 4. Compliance and Regulations: - Stay updated on international trade regulations, tariffs, and import/export compliance requirements. - Ensure the company's operations adhere to all relevant laws and regulations. 5. Documentation and Logistics: - Supervise the preparation and processing of export documentation, including customs declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin. - Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. 6. Financial Management: - Develop and manage budgets for the import and export sales department. - Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations. 7. Sales Reporting and Analysis: - Track and analyze sales performance in international markets. - Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations. 8. Negotiation and Contracts: - Negotiate sales agreements, contracts, and terms with international clients, distributors, and suppliers. - Ensure that all agreements are mutually beneficial and compliant. Qualifications: - MBA/Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. - Years of experience in international sales and export-import operations. - Proven track record of successfully expanding market presence in international markets. - Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Leadership and team management experience. - Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
