Reporting To: Head of Sales/ Chief Business Officer Experience Required: 10+ years in sales, with strong exposure to dealer/channel networks and Tier 2/3 city markets Job Summary: We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Head of Sales - Dealer Network to lead and scale our dealer-based sales channel across India, with a strong focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in the FMCD space, with a track record of building, managing, and accelerating dealer-led growth in emerging and semi-urban markets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Dealer Network Strategy & Development a) Design and implement a scalable dealer acquisition and expansion strategy across Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. b) Identify high-potential territories, onboard and activate dealers, and ensure optimal market coverage. c) Develop dealer engagement programs, incentive structures, and loyalty initiatives. 2. Sales Planning & Target Achievement a) Own and deliver regional and national sales targets through the dealer network. b) Track sales funnel performance, ensure adequate product movement, and maintain healthy stock rotation. c) Monitor primary and secondary sales, and ensure consistent dealer order flow. 3. Team Leadership a) Lead a large team of zonal, regional, and area sales managers with boots-on-the-ground oversight in non-metro cities. b) Set clear KPIs, support team development, and implement performance improvement initiatives. 4. Local Market Activation & Branding a) Plan and execute regional BTL activities, dealer meets, product roadshows, and demand-generation events. b) Collaborate with the marketing team to develop localized campaigns aligned with cultural nuances and language preferences. 5. Process, Systems & Reporting a) Ensure timely reporting, pipeline visibility, and adherence to sales governance through CRM tools and MIS systems. b) Standardize processes for dealer onboarding, credit control, training, and compliance. 6. Market Intelligence & Feedback a) Maintain deep insights into regional consumer preferences, competitor pricing, and dealer sentiment. b) Provide structured feedback to product, pricing, and marketing teams for ongoing market alignment. Key Requirements: 1. 10+ years of experience in sales/channel management within the FMCD sector (electronics, appliances, consumer tech, home solutions). 2. Deep understanding of dealer ecosystems in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. 3. Strong business acumen and ability to develop region-specific go-to-market strategies. 4. Demonstrated success in scaling sales through channel partners and improving dealer productivity. 5. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. 6. Graduate degree required; MBA preferred. 7. Willingness to travel 40-60% of the time across India. Preferred Skills: 1. Familiarity with rural/semi-urban distribution models. 2. Ability to communicate in regional languages is a plus. 3. Experience in managing ERP/CRM-driven sales operations.
