Job Title: Sales and Marketing Head



Description:



Job Purpose:

The Sales and Marketing Head will lead and drive strategic sales and marketing initiatives for the transformer division. The role focuses on expanding market share, developing new business opportunities (including domestic and export markets), strengthening relationships with utility companies, EPC contractors, and industrial clients, and positioning the company as a trusted brand in the transformer industry.



Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Execution:



- Develop and implement growth-oriented sales and marketing strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market demands in the power and transformer segment.


- Identify and analyze emerging trends, competitor activities, and new technology developments to proactively position offerings.


- Define and achieve revenue and market share targets for various product lines (power transformers, distribution transformers, special transformers).



Business Development & Key Account Management:



- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers such as state electricity boards, DISCOMs, utilities, large industrial clients, and EPC companies.


- Drive new business acquisition, participate in tendering processes, and support negotiation and finalization of contracts.


- Represent the company in industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.



Team Leadership & Development:



- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve set targets and develop a high-performance culture.


- Establish clear objectives, provide continuous feedback, and conduct regular performance reviews.


- Facilitate training and skill development programs to enhance technical and commercial capabilities of the team.



Revenue & Budget Management:



- Prepare annual sales forecasts and budgets; monitor performance against targets and ensure effective cost control.


- Analyze sales data, identify gaps, and initiate corrective actions to achieve revenue objectives.


- Maximize return on marketing investments through strategic campaign planning and execution.



Product & Market Development:



- Support new product launches, upgrades, and custom solutions based on market feedback and customer needs.


- Develop and execute promotional campaigns, technical seminars, and customer engagement initiatives to strengthen market presence.


- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to align market needs with product development.



Operational Excellence & Compliance:



- Oversee implementation of quality standards in customer interactions and service delivery.


- Resolve critical customer issues, ensure timely support, and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.


- Ensure adherence to internal policies, ethical practices, and statutory regulations.



Key Skills and Qualifications:



- Proven experience (minimum 10-15 years) in sales and marketing leadership roles within the transformer or power equipment industry.


- Strong knowledge of tendering processes, utility segment dynamics, and project sales.


- Expertise in strategic planning, market analysis, and brand positioning in B2B industrial products.


- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with large institutional and government clients.


- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and sales forecasting.


- Demonstrated leadership and team development abilities.


- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.



Educational Qualifications:



- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related technical discipline.


- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management.
