Role Objective

To build and scale dedicated verticals for the Solar, Electric Vehicles (EV), and Aerospace & Defence sectors by identifying key customers, understanding sector-specific needs, developing supplier relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and own the go-to-market strategy for each category: Solar, EV, and Aerospace & Defense.

- Build a pipeline of potential clients across EPC contractors, OEMs, component manufacturers, and government bodies.

- Analyze category-specific product requirements (e.g., specific grades of steel, corrosion resistance, certifications).

- Establish partnerships with relevant mills, stockists, and international suppliers.

- Collaborate with the pricing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in each segment and adjust the strategy accordingly.

- Work closely with marketing to position the company as a preferred partner in these niche sectors.

- Drive P&L accountability for the assigned categories.

Candidate Profile:


- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain; specialization in Energy or Automotive sectors is a plus.

- 8-15 years of experience in category management, industrial B2B sales, or business development, preferably in Solar, EV, or Aerospace/Defense.

- Strong technical and commercial understanding of steel and allied material applications.

- Existing network of customers and suppliers in any of the target categories is highly preferred.

- High ownership, strategic thinking, and execution capability.

- Comfort with working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
