Position : Head of Sales (Alchohol Beverages) Nagpur
Position Overview:
- Drive sales strategies to generate revenue for various categories of Alco-Bev business.
- Manage sales team, various Sales-Distribution channels, like distributors, retail, direct sales, ensuring company goals & revenue targets are achieved.
- Deep understanding of Alco-Bev industry (Whiskey, Brandy, Vodka), with strong expertise in channel management, distributor relations & retail sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop, execute sales strategies aligned with the company's goals.
- Track & refine sales plans based on market trends, competition.
2. Distribution & Channel Management:
- Manage Distributors & ensure availability, visibility, & sales growth.
- Identify & onboard new Distributors to expand market presence.
- Work closely with distributors to track sales & resolve issues.
- Implement promotional campaigns and initiatives across channels.
3. Retail Sales Management:
- Ensure product availability, branding, & activities are effectively executed.
- Develop retail partnerships and manage key retail accounts.
4. Team Management:
- Build, train, manage a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear sales targets, mentor & guide the team to meet set goals.
5. Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, analysis on performance/ trends.
- Monitor & analyze sales data to identify opportunities/ corrective actions.
6. Compliance & Regulations:
- Ensure sales activities comply with regulations & company policies.
- Work with legal & compliance for adherence to beverage laws.
Key Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in Alco-Bev sales & distribution.
- Proven track record in managing distribution, retail, sales teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of the beverage industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building abilities with distributors, retail.
- Experience with sales forecasting, reporting, and KPIs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly as needed.
- Strong knowledge of the local alcohol beverage market and consumer behaviour.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environment & manage complex sales ops.
