Head - Risk - Auto Loans

This leadership role will be responsible for defining and executing the risk strategy, policies, and frameworks for the Auto Loan business, ensuring sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining robust risk controls.

The role requires a proven track record of 12+ years in Risk Management and Risk Policy, with deep expertise in retail lending, preferably in auto loans or secured lending products. The position also carries significant team leadership responsibilities, requiring the ability to mentor, guide, and manage a high-performing risk team.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Strategy & Policy

- Define, implement, and continuously refine risk management frameworks and policies for the Auto Loan portfolio.

- Ensure alignment of risk appetite with business growth objectives and regulatory requirements.

- Develop robust credit underwriting standards, scorecards, and approval processes.

Portfolio & Credit Risk Management

- Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and early warning indicators.

- Drive initiatives to optimize risk-return trade-offs and minimize credit losses.

- Oversee risk analytics, stress testing, and scenario planning for the Auto Loan business.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

- Ensure adherence to RBI and other regulatory guidelines.

- Partner with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams to maintain governance standards.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with senior leadership, product, and operations teams to balance growth with prudent risk management.

- Represent the risk function in management committees and board-level discussions.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of risk professionals across policy, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring.

- Build a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement within the risk function.
