Head Retail Operation - Women's Footwear Job Purpose: - As the Head - Retail Operations, you will lead and oversee all aspects of the retail business operations including merchandising, supply chain, product lifecycle, store operations, and digital sales support. Your primary goal will be to optimize operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive sales growth across physical retail stores and online channels, aligning with - The brands positioning in the womens footwear segment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic & Cross-Functional Coordination - Develop and implement seasonal retail strategies aligned with brand goals and consumer trends. - Create and manage the Seasonal Merchandising and Sales Calendar in collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Organize and lead weekly internal reviews with department leads and Director to track progress, solve bottlenecks, and plan ahead. 2. Product & Merchandising Management - Analyze sales trends, prepare Monthly/Weekly sales reports and product performance across stores and digital channels. - Collaborate with the Product Development Team to provide insights on customer preferences, product gaps, and seasonal demand. - Manage SKU-wise selections, order placements, and ensure timely deliveries by coordinating with production and warehouse teams. - Oversee MRP structuring and discount strategy in line with the merchandising calendar. Working on products for discounts. - Set and review monthly store-level sales targets and provide actionable improvement plans. 3. Operations & Inventory Management - Lead warehouse and inventory operations, including allocation, rotation, safety stock planning, and maintenance protocols. - Monitor and improve distribution efficiency, including inter-store transfers, replenishment planning, and in-transit tracking. - Enable robust supply chain infrastructure, including support for seasonal e-commerce demand and staffing requirements. - Work closely with accounts, admin, and IT for seamless backend coordination. 4. E-commerce & Marketing Support - Partner with the Marketing & Performance Teams to define E-commerce sales targets, budget planning, and ROAS tracking. - Support marketing campaigns with relevant product inputs, bundling strategies, and merchandising concepts. - Supervise order fulfilment timelines, especially during high-pressure periods like festivals or new launches. - Provide inputs for website UX/UI enhancements and regular product updates to improve conversion rates. - Coordinate with external agencies for social media, paid campaigns, photoshoots, and offline creatives ensuring timely approvals, budget alignment, and brand consistency. - Assist the marketplace team in product listings, campaign strategies, and sales enablement across partner platforms like Myntra, Amazon, Nykaa, etc. - Oversee creative deployment in retail stores and offsite branding (in-store screens, printed posters, hoardings, etc.) 5. Retail Store Operations - Drive performance across all brand-owned stores by managing: - Team rosters and productivity - Sales targets & incentives - Product training and customer handling - Store hygiene, ambience, and Visual Merchandising standards - After-sales support systems - Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance and guide the store managers. - Address infrastructure needs such as renovation, tech installations, utilities, and POS system upgrades. Desired Candidate Profile: - 12-15 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle sectors. - Proven ability to handle multi-location retail stores and ecommerce simultaneously. - Strong analytical acumen and hands-on knowledge of sales reports, stock movement, and consumer behavior. - Prior experience working with D2C and marketplace platforms is a plus. - Excellent leadership and people management skills. - Experience in collaborating with marketing, design, and logistics teams.
