Job Title: Head - Research (Equity & Broking)

Location: Kurla, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and market-savvy leader to head our Research & Advisory division. The Head - Research will oversee equity research, sectoral analysis, market strategy, and investment recommendations for retail, HNI, and institutional clients, driving client engagement, portfolio growth, and market leadership for Allvest.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Leadership & Strategy:

- Lead a team of equity and sector analysts to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable research reports.

- Develop investment strategies, market outlooks, and thematic reports for clients.

- Oversee coverage of equities, derivatives, commodities, and macroeconomic trends.

- Ensure research aligns with business strategy, compliance, and market positioning.

Client Advisory & Engagement:

- Support RM, Dealers, and Sales Teams with stock recommendations and market insights.

- Conduct webinars, investor meets, and media interactions to position the firm as a thought leader.

- Provide model portfolios, investment strategies, and risk assessment for clients.

Team Development & Performance:

- Mentor and lead analysts and associates to ensure high-quality research output.

- Allocate coverage across sectors, companies, and asset classes effectively.

- Implement research tools, databases, and technology upgrades for efficiency.

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Ensure all reports and recommendations comply with SEBI Research Analyst (RA) guidelines.

- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of research and client information.

- Coordinate with compliance and legal teams for required disclosures.

Market Positioning & Growth:

- Build thought leadership by contributing market views to media, reports, and research publications.

- Collaborate with business heads to drive client acquisition and retention through strong research capabilities.

- Identify new products or research offerings to enhance broking revenue.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Deep understanding of Indian equity markets, derivatives, and macroeconomics trends.

- Strong fundamental and technical analysis expertise.

- Proven leadership and team management skills in a research environment.

- Excellent presentation, communication, and client engagement skills.

- Proficiency with Bloomberg, Reuters, and financial modeling tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA Finance / CFA / CA preferred.

- 12 - 15 years of experience in equity research / broking / investment advisory, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

- SEBI-registered Research Analyst certification is highly desirable.

- Strong track record in driving research that enhances broking revenue and client engagement.

- Working Days: 5/6 days as per company policy
