About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic Head of Research to lead our Equity Research division. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the Indian equity markets with a strong background in both buy-side and sell-side research, and a proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing research teams within the broking industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Equity Research team, overseeing coverage across sectors and market caps

- Drive fundamental research - initiating coverage, publishing research reports, and investment recommendations

- Provide strategic insights on Indian equity markets, macroeconomic trends, and sector-specific developments

- Collaborate with sales, trading, and fund management teams to deliver actionable research

- Build and maintain relationships with institutional and retail clients by delivering high-quality research

- Oversee buy-side and sell-side research processes, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness

- Mentor and develop a team of research analysts, fostering a culture of excellence

- Present research findings and market views to senior management, clients, and investors

- Stay updated on SEBI regulations, compliance norms, and market developments

Key Requirements

- 15+ years of experience in Equity Research within the broking industry (mandatory)

- Strong expertise in the Indian equity market - listed companies, sectors, indices

- Hands-on experience in both buy-side and sell-side research

- Proficiency in fundamental analysis - financial modeling, valuation, sector analysis

- Proven experience in team management and leadership

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Strong network within the broking and institutional research community

- Candidates from non-broking backgrounds will not be considered
