Role Overview:

The Head of Research will serve as the strategic lead for the firms research vertical, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of investment and market research initiatives. This role involves directing a team of analysts to produce high-quality, actionable intelligence that supports client decision-making and business growth. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and external partners to define research methodologies, ensure the integrity of data outputs, and translate complex market trends into clear, strategic narratives. Based in Mumbai, this position is pivotal in shaping the firms intellectual capital and maintaining its reputation for delivering precise, high-value insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the design and execution of comprehensive research frameworks to provide clients with deep-dive analysis on market trends and investment opportunities.

- Mentor and lead a high-performing team of research professionals, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement.

- Oversee the quality control process for all research deliverables, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with client objectives.

- Partner with senior management to identify emerging market gaps and develop new research products that expand the firms service offerings.

- Manage complex stakeholder relationships, presenting research findings to executive leadership and translating technical data into strategic business recommendations.

- Optimize research workflows and adopt advanced analytical tools to improve operational efficiency and the speed of insight delivery.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex research methodologies within the investment or consulting sectors.

- Proven ability to lead and develop large, diverse teams, with a focus on coaching and performance management.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical findings to C-suite stakeholders and clients.

- Strong strategic thinking capabilities, enabling the translation of raw data into high-level business strategy and actionable insights.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis tools, and data visualization techniques.

- A Masters degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from a premier institute is preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site professional environment in Mumbai, maintaining high standards of output under tight deadlines.

Experience:

- 10 - 20 years of professional experience in research-intensive roles, with a significant portion spent in leadership positions within investment research or consulting firms.
