Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Research to lead our investment strategy and equity research division based in Bangalore. In this leadership capacity, you will drive the firm's intellectual capital by overseeing deep-dive fundamental analysis, identifying high-conviction investment opportunities, and shaping the long-term thematic research agenda. You will work closely with the investment committee, portfolio managers, and institutional clients to translate complex market data into actionable investment theses. Your leadership will directly influence the firm's alpha generation, risk-adjusted returns, and overall market positioning, ensuring our research remains a key differentiator in a competitive financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end equity research process to provide high-quality investment recommendations that support portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions.

- Mentor and scale a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of rigorous inquiry and intellectual honesty to maintain the firm's reputation for excellence.

- Engage with institutional clients and key stakeholders to communicate complex market insights, effectively articulating the firm's investment philosophy and research findings.

- Collaborate with the investment committee to stress-test investment hypotheses, ensuring that all research outputs align with the firm's risk appetite and long-term financial objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in fundamental equity research, with a proven track record of managing large-scale research operations and delivering superior investment performance.

- Exceptional ability to synthesize vast amounts of financial and macroeconomic data into clear, concise, and persuasive investment narratives for diverse audiences.

- Strong leadership presence with the capacity to build, retain, and inspire high-caliber research teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and quantitative analysis, coupled with a deep understanding of global market dynamics.

- A postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or an MBA from a premier institute, complemented by professional certifications such as CFA.
