Head - Renewable Energy (NGO/ Foundation/ Think Tanks)


Job Description:


Research & Project Development:

- Support to research projects focused on renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable energy systems.

- Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy into existing energy infrastructures.

- Conduct assessments of renewable energy potential and feasibility studies for new technologies.

- Publish high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.

Grant Writing & Funding Acquisition:

- Identify funding opportunities from national and international organizations, government agencies, and private sector collaborations.

- Lead the development of research proposals for grants and projects on renewable energy initiatives.

- Establish financially sustainable research programs with long-term impact.

Policy & Governance Advisory:

- Engage with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders to develop governance mechanisms for sustainable energy management.

- Provide technical expertise for national and global policy dialogues on renewable energy and energy efficiency.

- Contribute to the formulation of industry guidelines, environmental impact assessments, and green certification frameworks for the energy sector.

Mentorship:

- Supervise and mentor junior researchers, associates, and project teams working on energy sustainability.

- Foster a culture of research excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the division.

- Guide teams in policy advocacy, technology-based interventions, and cross-sectoral partnerships.

Networking & Collaboration:

- Establish and strengthen partnerships with global research institutions, government agencies, industry leaders, and sustainability organizations.

- Represent the org in high-level sustainability forums, policy discussions, and energy sector panels.

- Engage in multi-stakeholder collaborations to address challenges in global energy systems and renewable energy adoption.

Monitoring & Reporting:

- Oversee project execution, ensuring timely completion and research impact.

- Prepare technical reports, regulatory assessments, and policy recommendations for key stakeholders.

- Ensure adherence to the org's research quality and sustainability benchmarks.

Required Qualifications:

- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or related fields from premium university/colleges.

Experience:

- 20+ years of research experience in renewable energy, energy policy, or sustainable development.

- Proven expertise in policy development, energy systems analysis, and renewable energy technologies.

- Experience in securing research funding and leading multidisciplinary research teams.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of global energy policies, renewable energy technologies, and sustainability frameworks.

- Expertise in energy modeling, climate resilience in energy systems, and industrial energy efficiency.

- Excellent scientific writing, proposal development, and research dissemination skills.

- Strong leadership and networking abilities with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement.

- Ability to translate research findings into practical policy recommendations and industry solutions.
