We're hiring for the Position of Head - Record to Report (R2R) for Hyderabad location

Educational Qualifications: CA with 12-15 years of experience

Reports To: Head - F&A Operations

Budget: 60-65 LPA (including variable)

Role Summary/Purpose

The Head R2R is responsible for managing the end-to-end financial accounting and reporting for a defined group of legal entities within the group. This includes driving timely book closure, financial reporting, audit readiness and system-led process execution in line with corporate policies and accounting standards. The incumbent acts as a key bridge between business CFOs, SSC teams and auditors while fostering operational excellence, governance, and transformation across the Record to Report (R2R) function.

Responsibilities

1) R2R Process Leadership

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across assigned legal entities by overseeing GL postings, accruals, provisions, reclasses, and prepaids within defined timelines.

- Govern the integrity of balance sheet and P&L through review of key reconciliations: advances, trade creditors, intercompany accounts, and related party transactions (RPTs).

- Supervise timely completion of bank reconciliations, fixed asset capitalization, depreciation runs, and financial statement preparation within ERP systems.

- Manage accurate and timely data submission to consolidation tools (e.g., BPC), ensuring audit-ready reporting packs and compliance documentation.

2) Financial Analysis & Stakeholder Reporting

- Drive variance analysis on Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet items, working closely with the business finance teams to identify anomalies and root causes.

- Oversee the preparation of MIS dashboards, monthly review decks and board-level presentations aligned with business CFO requirements.

- Represent R2R in business and finance governance forums, escalating unresolved financial issues and facilitating end-to-end resolution.

3) Compliance & Audit Readiness

- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, IGAAP, and company policies across the R2R cycle; address and mitigate risks proactively.

- Act as audit SPOC for assigned entities; coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for smooth audit execution, schedule submissions, and resolution of open points.

- Implement corrective actions from audit observations and strengthen documentation trails for high-risk items (e.g., RPTs, provisions, IC transactions).

4) Process Excellence & Automation

- Identify opportunities for automation and ERP-driven efficiencies across close, reconciliation, and reporting cycles; contribute to RPA and digitization initiatives.

- Partner with IT and finance transformation teams to implement system improvements, drive standardization, and enhance controls in core R2R processes.

5) Team Development and Management

- Identify training needs, facilitate skill development programs, and enhance team competencies.

- Implement structured mentorship and leadership development initiatives.

- Address team concerns, provide guidance, and create opportunities for professional growth.

- F&A - Record-to-Report (R2R), Cost Accounting Controls, Financial Reporting, Contract Management & Risk Analysis, Regulatory Compliance, Working Capital Management, Cashflow Management, Financial Systems Proficiency, Financial Governance, Transactional Financial Analysis
