Head R&D & Technical Reports to: CEO Location: Mumbai Should have experience in R&D of Electrical Products. Job Profile: New Product Design & Development - Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dyes, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment - Produce three-dimensional models, using computer-aided design (CAD) software. - Lay out and draw schematic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines. - Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems - Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed - Participate in new product planning or market research, including studying the potential need for new products - Assign to Designers and Coordination for pilot manufacturing - Identify talent to make CorelDraw Designs on the system - Checking & reviewing their work from time to time. - Supervise and train designers, technologists and technicians. - Arrange for procurement of raw material - Direct and coordinate the fabrication of models or samples and the drafting of working drawings and specification sheets from sketches. - Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay-out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems - Fabricate models or samples in required material / metal. - Coordinate the look and function of product lines - Supervise assistants' work throughout the design process. - Design & Development support for Existing Products - Re-work & execute the moulding process, if in case of major problem - Coordinate for metallic part if there is major issue & resolve with suppliers - Checking & supporting of metallic part for the new supplier - Raise order form for repeat moulds, fitment & dimension checking - Checking compatibility with existing moulding - After the final trial, taking the pilot lot production & assemble under observation - Attend to vendor's queries if they have any problem while carrying out production - Technical support to import procurement (China)
