Job Description: Head of Quality Gensets/Power Generation

Position Overview

A leading organization in the genset manufacturing sector is seeking an accomplished professional to lead the global Quality division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing quality functions across large, geographically distributed engineering or manufacturing settings, ensuring harmonized quality systems and continuous improvement in all global operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the organizations global Quality function, overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, control, and improvement across genset production lines and multiple international manufacturing sites.

- Develop, implement, and refine the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO standards, customer requirements, and global best practices.

- Champion Six Sigma methodologies, drive black-belt-level process improvement projects, and institutionalize lean practices to minimize defects and optimize operational performance worldwide.

- Establish a zero-defect culture, conduct rigorous root cause analysis, and initiate corrective actions for field and in-process quality issues globally.

- Define, monitor, and report on key quality metrics; initiate and lead strategic quality projects at a global scale.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.) across international locations to ensure quality is embedded in every stage.

- Oversee implementation of quality standards, procedures, and audits in all operating regions.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse, multicultural team of quality professionals worldwide.

- Maintain compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements across multiple geographies.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial or related field); Masters preferred.

- 20+ years of progressive experience in quality management, with at least 5 years at a leadership/head level in the engineering/genset/heavy manufacturing sector, including demonstrated experience overseeing global operations.

- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with proven ability to lead and deliver complex, multi-site projects.

- Deep knowledge of global QMS methodologies and standards (ISO 9001, etc.), regulatory frameworks, and best practices.

- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills in multicultural environments.

- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
