Education: BE Mechanical / BE Metallurgy

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Establish and implement Quality Management systems.

- Monitor and review the documents related to ISO requirement.

- Ensure the documents are up to date and has relevant details required.

- Chart internal audit schedule and ensure the schedule is adhered.

- Monitor and review the checklists and audit reports and identify non-conformance.

- Follow up with respective department for the corrective actions to close the non-conformance.

- Co-ordinate and handle all external audits.

- To aim for 100% defect free parts produced and despatched.

- Conduct Quality Improvement Team meetings periodically and implement the improvements.

- Analytical Ability, Documentation skills, Ability to take decisions.

- Knowledge on various test methods for different grades.

- Analyse and identify the root cause for the non-conformance (internal/external).

- Ensure all the quality corrective actions are documented as per ISO requirement.

- Visit subcontractors/vendors on monthly basis to monitor and approve the procedures and systems.

- Ensure on time preparation and submission of quality related MIS.

- Effectively handle customer queries/complaints.

- Prepare PPAP documents for new products and co-ordinate with customers for clearance.

- Ensure PNCR is with agreed limits.

- Effectively handle customer queries regarding PPAP and other quality standards.

- Ensure customer rejections are addressed immediately to avoid re-occurrence.

- Monitor and review Quality control activities.

- Interact with QC inspectors on rejections, reworks on the inhouse and subcontracted items and sort out issues if any.

- Knowledge on handling test equipment, knowledge on CMM machine operations, and knowledge on 5S and safety.

- Monitor and ensure the lab testing's are carried as per derived quality plan.

- Ensure adherence to 5S and safety procedures.

- Review and ensure the calibration schedule is adhered.

- Prepare annual budget for AMC (calibration) and procurement of new equipment's.

- Co-ordinate with external labs and follow up on priority castings.
