Candidates with PG in Chemistry/Food Technology/related subject, 14+ years exp ub QC function in Food manufacturing with 5+ years in Leadership position and willing to relocate to Kerala are welcome to apply.

Strong skills in handling Major / B2B customers directly, addressing their complaints etc are mandatory.

Responsibility area:


Key tasks & activities:

- Clearly defined process documentation and parameters across all projects

- Ensure collaboration of QA, QC and QMS team with relevant internal/external stakeholders to clearly define all processes across procurement, production, maintenance/engineering, warehousing and dispatch for key, strategic and other accounts

- Ensure that teams are abreast about all provisions set by FSSAI, EHS and other statutory, regulatory bodies and client associations to create/update current documentation with prevailing guidelines

- Monitor proactive communication with clients/R&D/Sales team for timely closure of any queries regarding product and quality requirements to ensure that all finished goods meet the specifications defined by the client and no critical observations are raised during client audits with regards to in the processes and control parameters

- Ensure that QA and QMS team is available to resolve all queries on process documentation in a timely manner- Provide guidance and support for critical issues escalated by team

- Ensure on-going adherence to process documentation

- Ensure trainings for QC, operators and shift in-charges are conducted as per the calendar to drive awareness of specifications/processes and compliance with guidelines across teams

- Ensure internal audits are carried out as per the calendar and drive proactive communication with client representatives to organize and carry out client audits as per the calendar

- Ensure that any critical observations in internal audits are logged, addressed and rectified in a timely manner to drive zero escalations in the processes and control parameters in audits conducted by the clients

- Ensure that potential critical issues are proactively resolved

- Ensure that RM suppliers and transportation vendors are audited to ensure that goods and services provided are within the quality parameters

- Drive continuity of active licenses and addition of new licenses
- Ensure timely creation of external audit calendar- Drive timely communication of calendars to internal teams to ensure preparedness

- Ensure proactive communication with regulatory/statutory body/industry association representatives to organize and carry out external audits as per the calendar for on time renewal of the statutory licenses

- Ensure that any critical observations in internal audits are logged, addressed and rectified in a timely manner to drive zero escalations audits conducted by the regulatory/statutory bodies and continuity of licenses

Cost saving initiatives, reduction in wastages and budget adherence:

- Ensure reduction in wastage occurring due to improper process definition by clearly defining processes to achieve optimal production levels with the lowest levels of wastage

- Monitor all stages of production and to ensure that all processes are carried out as per documentation and SOPs- Log deviations and wastages incurred across the manufacturing life cycle

- Ensure adherence to wastage /reprocessing targets and drive QA-QC budget adherence by monitoring expenditure across QMS, QA, QC team members

Ensuring the health and safety of all employees:

- Ensure reduction in number of accidents occurring due to improper process definition by clearly defining processes keeping in mind the safety and well being of the employee

- Ensure all EHS trainings are carried out as per training calendar

- Carry out inspections to ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed by all plant workers

- Log and investigate (root cause analysis) human error incidents that have threatened the safety of workers/led to fatalities and update documentation to ensure that repeat errors do not occur again
