Head - Public Relations - (7 - 20+ yrs) Responsibilities: - Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information. - Writing press releases and other media communications to promote clients. - Planning or directing the development of programs to maintain favourable public and stockholder views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments. - Coaching client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees. - Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services. - Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences. - Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business media. - Develop public relations strategy, seek high-level placements in print, broadcast, & online media. - To plan, develop and implement PR Strategies. - To prepare and create publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, etc. - Content creating, editing and compiling articles, editorials and other news releases. - Constantly be on the lookout for additional opportunities including podcasts, event speaking opportunities, awards, newsjacking, interviews, and communicating with publications to contribute op-ed content, expert articles, and blogs. - Content syndication. - Creation and distribution of targeted media releases, media kits, pitches, and related material. - Prepare pitch notes and make pitches to the media.
