The Head of Capital Markets, Investor Relations&PR will lead and grow the financial communications practice of the agency.

This includes driving PR strategies for companies going public (IPOs), working closely with listed companies on quarterly earnings communication, regulatory disclosures, investor and analyst engagement, and reputation management.

The role demands deep knowledge of financial markets, regulatory frameworks (SEBI, BSE, NSE, etc.), and media dynamics, as well as strong agency-client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Practice Growth:

- Lead pitches for IPO communications mandates - from strategy and messaging to execution.

- Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, law firms, merchant bankers, and exchanges to source leads.

- Build a robust pipeline of listed companies and pre-IPO prospects.

- Create tailored pitch decks and proposals to win mandates across sectors.

Strategic Advisory:

- Advise clients (CXOs, CFOs, IROs) on financial communications, media strategy, and crisis handling.

- Provide guidance on SEBI-mandated disclosures, quarterly earnings announcements, investor presentations, and AGMs.

- Develop key messages and media strategy aligned with the company's financial and strategic goals.

Media Relations & Communication:

- Leverage strong relationships with top-tier financial and business media (e.g., CNBC-TV18, ET Now, Mint, Business Standard).

- Draft and vet press releases, earnings commentary, Q&A briefs, FAQs, and investor notes.

- Facilitate media interviews, analyst briefings, and exclusive coverage for major announcements.

IPO Communications:

- Develop and implement IPO communication strategies including pre-IPO visibility, DRHP and RHP messaging, media handling during quiet periods, and post-listing communication.

- Coordinate with legal and merchant bankers to ensure all communication is compliant with regulatory guidelines.

- Manage internal stakeholder communications and coordinate with HR, marketing, and investor relations teams of clients.

Listed Client Management:

- Oversee all financial PR activities for listed clients across sectors.

- Monitor market sentiment, analyst coverage, and media mentions; proactively address reputational risks.

- Collaborate with investor relations consultants or in-house IR teams to align communication.

Thought Leadership & Reputation Management:

- Position agency as a top financial PR player through authored articles, panel discussions, industry awards, and partnerships.

- Lead financial sector-focused campaigns, whitepapers, and insight reports.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.

- MBA/CFA/CA preferred.

- 10-15 years of experience in financial PR, capital markets advisory, investor relations, or business journalism.

- Proven experience managing IPO mandates and listed companies' PR.

Skills & Competencies:

- Deep understanding of financial markets, IPO lifecycle, investor behaviour, and SEBI/stock exchange regulations.

- Excellent media network across financial and business media.

- Strong leadership, business acumen, and client servicing abilities.
