Head - Proposals - Water/Wastewater Technologies

Role Overview:

Responsible for leading the proposals function for the services business (O&M, retrofit, AMC, spares). The role ensures technically sound, cost-competitive, and timely proposals to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end proposal preparation for O&M contracts, retrofit projects, AMC, and spares.

- Review RFQs, define proposal strategy, and ensure alignment with customer needs and business goals.

- Collaborate with engineering, execution, and supply chain to design techno-commercial solutions.

- Ensure accurate costing for material, manpower, services, logistics, and risk contingencies.

- Define pricing strategies in coordination with finance and business leadership.

- Engage with clients and sales teams for clarifications, technical discussions, and negotiations.

- Establish and improve SOPs, templates, and workflows for proposals.

- Monitor proposal KPIs (turnaround time, accuracy, win ratio) and drive continuous improvement.

- Conduct training sessions to strengthen proposal and commercial capabilities within the team.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of water/wastewater technologies (STP, ETP, RO, DM, O&M, AMC, retrofit).

- Expertise in costing, pricing models, and commercial terms.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client interaction skills.

- Strong analytical and business acumen with attention to detail.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and digital proposal tools.
