Role Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Head Projects to lead the delivery of large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects across India. The role will be responsible for driving project execution from concept through commissioning, ensuring world-class standards in engineering, construction, safety, quality, commercial performance, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing complex infrastructure programs, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-value projects within stringent timelines while maintaining operational excellence and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Delivery Leadership:

- Lead the complete lifecycle of mission-critical infrastructure projects, including design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and client handover.

- Develop execution strategies that accelerate project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

- Drive consistent project governance, reporting, and performance monitoring across multiple concurrent sites.

- Establish standardized project management frameworks and execution protocols across the organization.

2. Engineering & Technical Excellence:

- Oversee integration of critical electrical, mechanical, and utility systems required for high-availability facilities.

- Ensure seamless coordination between design consultants, engineering teams, contractors, and equipment suppliers.

- Guide the adoption of advanced technologies and innovative infrastructure solutions to enhance facility performance and efficiency.

- Review technical designs and execution methodologies to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational resilience.

3. Commercial & Financial Management:

- Own overall financial performance of the project portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability.

- Monitor project costs, resource utilization, and productivity metrics to maximize commercial outcomes.

- Lead contract administration, change management, claims evaluation, and commercial negotiations.

- Implement proactive risk management strategies to protect project margins and delivery commitments.

4. Supply Chain & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, technology partners, consultants, and contractors.

- Drive procurement planning for long-lead equipment and critical infrastructure packages.

- Collaborate with clients, investors, regulatory bodies, and internal leadership teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

- Facilitate timely approvals, statutory clearances, and utility coordination required for project execution.

5. Quality, Safety & Commissioning:

- Champion a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline across all project locations.

- Ensure adherence to national and international standards governing mission-critical infrastructure.

- Lead testing, commissioning, performance validation, and final acceptance activities.

- Establish robust quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Advanced qualifications such as MBA, NICMAR, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certifications will be preferred.

2. Experience:

- 22+ years of experience in engineering, infrastructure development, construction, or EPC project execution.

- Proven leadership experience managing large and complex projects with significant MEP and critical infrastructure components.

- Prior exposure to Data Centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor plants, advanced manufacturing facilities, or similar high-reliability environments.

- Experience working with global clients, international consultants, multinational contractors, or cross-border project ecosystems is highly desirable.

3. Leadership Competencies:

- Strong capability to lead large cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

- Strategic thinker with exceptional planning, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, resolve project challenges, and drive execution excellence.

- Commercially astute leader with a strong focus on delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

- Results-oriented professional capable of managing multiple high-value projects in a fast-paced environment.
