Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Alloy Steel industry professional to lead our Production Planning and Control (PPC) and Logistics functions at our Pune facility. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the end-to-end synchronization of manufacturing schedules with supply chain capabilities to ensure seamless operational flow. You will work closely with cross-functional heads, including Sales, Procurement, and Shop Floor Operations, to align production targets with market demand. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing inventory turns, and ensuring that our delivery commitments are met with precision, directly impacting the company's bottom line and customer satisfaction levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Orchestrate comprehensive production planning and scheduling to maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime across all manufacturing lines.

- Direct inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, reducing carrying costs while ensuring zero stock-outs for critical components.

- Lead the logistics and distribution network to streamline the movement of finished goods, ensuring timely delivery to domestic and international clients.

- Implement robust PPC frameworks and ERP-driven processes to enhance visibility and accountability across the entire production lifecycle.

- Mentor and develop high-performing teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to forecast long-term capacity requirements and align infrastructure investments with organizational growth objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex manufacturing environments with a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization.

- Proven ability to navigate high-pressure operational challenges through data-driven decision-making and strategic resource allocation.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the board level and drive consensus across diverse departments.

- Strong proficiency in advanced ERP systems and analytical tools to monitor key performance indicators and drive operational efficiency.

- A post-graduate degree in Operations Management or an Engineering background from a premier institute is highly preferred.

- Ability to thrive in an on-site, high-intensity manufacturing environment in Pune, demonstrating resilience and a hands-on leadership approach.
