Role Overview:
An opportunity to lead a high-impact category in a fast-growing consumer durables organization and drive innovation in premium and BLDC fan technologies while shaping large-scale manufacturing operations with opportunities for growth and leadership visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Operations:
- Lead end-to-end production operations for the Fans category across manufacturing units.
- Develop and execute monthly/annual production plans aligned with sales forecasts.
- Improve OEE, throughput, material efficiency, and reduce production downtime.
Cost & Process Optimization:
- Drive cost efficiency through process improvements, automation, and vendor optimisation.
- Monitor and improve key KPIs: productivity, rejection %, yield, cost per unit, turnaround times.
Quality & Compliance:
- Oversee quality systems, ensuring compliance with BIS, safety, and internal quality standards.
- Ensure statutory compliance, audits, and adherence to manufacturing SOPs.
New Product Development & Industrialization:
- Partner with R&D / NPD teams for industrialisation of new fan models (ceiling, BLDC, premium ranges).
Workforce Management & Safety:
- Manage plant workforce, shift planning, skill development, and safety processes.
Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within consumer durables or electrical appliances
Skills:
- Expertise in production planning and process optimization.
- Strong knowledge of BIS standards and quality systems.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and drive performance.
- Familiarity with automation and lean manufacturing practices.
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
