JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Head of Product Management owns the end-to-end lifecycle of Data & Analytics products - from vision and roadmap through delivery, adoption, and commercial impact. The role is accountable for product vision, implementation, adoption, operational performance, impact, value creation & total cost of ownership, and leads a team of Lead Product Managers. It reports to the Chief Digital Officer. Key accountabilities include:
- Define and communicate the strategic narrative, including the value delivered by its portfolio of Analytics Products to business stakeholders and executive leadership
- Own and maintain the Data Product roadmaps that drive sprint planning, release sequencing, and user-story prioritization across the scrum teams
- Build and sustain working partnerships with business Product Owners, Data Owners, IT platform owners, and the Data & Analytics delivery organization to align priorities and unblock delivery
- Engage directly with regional and Business Line leadership to understand source systems, data and process flows, and pain points, and co-create Data & Analytics product concepts that address them
- Lead the product vision, roadmap and feature definition and iterative prioritization - act as the product owner for the scrum delivery team
- Foster development of novel intellectual property, reusable frameworks, and thought-leadership that create sustainable differentiation in the data science and analytics space.
- Drive adoption & impact/ROI for the products. Scale products at global level.
- Partner with data science and analytics organizations across the enterprise to scale service, solution, and product impact.
- Leadership comes through technical depth and ability to lead/influence within and across businesses and functions.
- This leader will leverage their technical depth and broader business understanding to coach and develop the individual contributors reporting to them.
- Provide strategic inputs into annual budgeting, resource planning, and other CDT business activities as required
- Experience with projects across commercial, manufacturing, and GenAI domains.
- Guide hiring, retention, and talent development in an area of technical, application, and domain expertise aligned to organizational vision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline; Master's or MBA preferred
- 16-20 years of overall experience in technology, with a strong focus on Data & Analytics
- 8+ years in a leadership role, including direct management of a product team of 15-20 members (Product Managers, Lead Product Managers, and associated scrum roles)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Data Products, including roadmap ownership and stakeholder management across business and technology teams
- Working knowledge of the modern Data & Analytics technology landscape (cloud data platforms, MLOps, BI tooling, GenAI)
- Deep functional knowledge and the value story across the various Data & Analytics products managed
- Experience working with Product Owners, Data owners and D&A delivery organization
Good knowledge of D&A fundamentals:
- Demonstrated global exposure - experience leading and mentoring product management teams across multiple geographies in a matrixed, multinational environment
- Hands-on experience with agile/scrum delivery as a Product Owner or equivalent, including backlog ownership and release planning
