Position Title: Head Product Engineering Location: Bangalore Purpose of the Role: As Head Product Engineering, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of a complex, high-value capital equipment product linefrom concept and roadmap to redesign, enhancement, and successful go-to-market execution. This role demands deep product development acumen, engineering excellence, and cross-functional leadership to ensure consistent innovation, differentiation, and customer value. Scope & Key Responsibilities: - Lead product design evolution, platform engineering, and modular development strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and market relevance. - Architect and drive product roadmaps, prioritizing features and platform upgrades based on market needs, application feedback, and technology trends. - Develop clear, compelling technical and commercial proposals, backed by robust engineering logic and value-focused narratives. - Build differentiated value propositions and data-driven pricing strategies across customer segments and geographies. - Lead product benchmarking and redesign initiatives to stay ahead of industry innovations, competitor offerings, and cost-performance curves. - Drive cross-functional collaboration across R&D, design, manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and service teams for rapid, quality-driven deployments. - Ensure fast turnaround in customer-specific solution development, application customization, and proposal submissions. - Own the continuous improvement of product engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge systems. Key Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's or Masters in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines. - 18+ years in capital equipment or industrial product domains, with at least 5 years in a product/portfolio leadership role. - Proven track record of launching, evolving, and managing high-complexity industrial products through complete life cycles. - Expertise in technical proposal development, commercial modeling, and customer-aligned engineering. - Strong background in application engineering, customer engagement, and cross-functional product delivery. - Demonstrated ability to lead product re-engineering and modular design improvements for performance and cost optimization. - Deep market insight with a sharp ability to convert competitor and customer intelligence into engineering action.
