Role Overview:

The Head - Product Management will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the solar value chain. This role will align product development with business objectives, market trends, and technological advancements to deliver superior value to customers and ensure a strong competitive position globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute the long-term product and technology strategy for Reliance Solar PV.

- Build a robust product portfolio that supports growth across markets and customer segments.

- Ensure alignment between business, R&D, operations, and technology functions for seamless execution.

- Lead strategic initiatives to commercialize new technologies and innovations from lab to large-scale production.

Product Strategy & Development:

- Identify emerging trends in PV glass, modules, and related technologies to shape product direction.

- Drive new product introductions (NPIs) and life-cycle management of existing products.

- Develop and manage go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and value propositions.

- Lead market intelligence efforts to benchmark competitors and identify new business opportunities.

Collaboration & Partnerships:

- Forge strategic partnerships with global technology leaders, suppliers, and research institutions.

- Ensure strong collaboration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to achieve business targets.

- Oversee key technical relationships with customers and partners to support product adoption and satisfaction.

Team & Capability Building:

- Build and mentor a high-performing product management team.

- Identify skill gaps and drive capability development across product and technology functions.

- Foster a culture of innovation, customer focus, and performance excellence

Education & Experience:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, or related discipline (MBA preferred).

- 20+ years of experience in Product Management, R&D, or Technology roles, with at least 5 years in the Solar or Renewable Energy sector.

- Proven experience leading global product portfolios and cross-functional teams.

- Strong understanding of solar manufacturing processes, product commercialization, and market dynamics.

- Experience in scaling products from concept to commercial success.

Key Milestones:

- Establish integrated product management processes across business functions.

- Drive stabilization and commercialization of Solar Glass and PV product lines.

- Finalize long-term product and technology roadmap for next-generation offerings.

- Enable full integration of Product Management with R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales functions.

- Build and sustain a globally competitive product portfolio through continuous innovation and customer focus.
