Job Overview:
- We are seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Product Commercial Strategy & Global Growth to lead UPL's product innovation and commercialization strategy globally.
- This leader will define and drive the product roadmap across crop protection, biologicals, digital agtech, and new revenue streams, with a strong focus on commercial performance, pricing strategy, and global scalability.
- The ideal candidate is both strategic and analytical, able to align product development with business objectives, market dynamics, and regional opportunities, possessing 12-17 years of experience with at least 5 years in senior product or commercial leadership roles.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the global product strategy, ensuring strong alignment with revenue growth targets and UPL's sustainable agriculture mission.
- Lead the commercialization of new and existing products, encompassing comprehensive pricing, bundling strategies, go-to-market execution, and clear value proposition articulation.
- Collaborate extensively with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to align product vision with effective market execution.
- Develop and maintain a data-driven product portfolio strategy across diverse geographies, ensuring profitability, scalability, and robust competitive differentiation.
- Partner with digital and technology teams to seamlessly integrate data and innovation into physical product offerings and services.
- Utilize market intelligence and global trends to proactively identify significant growth opportunities across both developed and emerging markets.
- Present comprehensive product and portfolio performance, detailed forecasts, and strategic growth plans to the UPL executive leadership team.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global product management team.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in senior product or commercial leadership roles.
- Strong background in commercial product management, pricing strategy, and international go-to-market execution.
- Proven success in B2B, agri-inputs, or industrial/chemical sectors (preferred).
- Deep understanding of key financial metrics such as P&L, gross margin, LTV/CAC, and their application in commercial decision-making.
- Experience managing global product portfolios with demonstrated ability for regional customization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the proven ability to use data to drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent collaboration skills across business, technical, and field teams.
- MBA or equivalent in Business, Strategy, Agribusiness, or Technology.
- Prior experience working effectively with global markets, including LATAM, NA, EMEA, and APAC.
- Familiarity with agricultural products, sustainable farming practices, or digital agri-solutions is a strong plus.
