Head - Procurement - Manufacturing Firm

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on raw materials

- Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, risks, and trends specific to the industry.

- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure procurement aligns with technical specifications and innovation goals.

Supplier Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, emphasizing sustainability, ESG compliance, cost-effectiveness, and supply reliability.

- Build long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers , separators, BMS components, and cell packaging materials.

- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs: cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.

Cost Control & Negotiation:

- Lead negotiations for contracts and pricing agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost competitiveness.

- Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply security.

Operational Excellence:

- Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and inventory targets.

- Oversee procurement planning, purchase order processing, and vendor payment alignment.

- Implement digital tools or ERP systems for procurement process automation and visibility.

Risk & Compliance:

- Manage supply chain risks, raw material shortages, and regulatory challenges (e.g., REACH, RoHS, conflict minerals).

- Ensure compliance with local procurement regulations and standards.

- Support sustainability goals by sourcing from ethical and environmentally responsible vendors.
