About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Head to lead sourcing and procurement for key raw materials, specifically edible oils (olive oil mandatory) and wheat-based products (maida mandatory) for a leading FMCG organization.

This role will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing, vendor partnerships, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted supply for critical categories.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:

- Lead end-to-end procurement for olive oil and maida categories

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals

- Identify and onboard reliable domestic and international suppliers

2. Vendor Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers

- Evaluate vendor performance on cost, quality, and delivery

- Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements

3. Cost Optimization & Efficiency:

- Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality

- Monitor commodity trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks

- Implement efficient procurement processes and best practices

4. Supply Chain & Planning:

- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials across manufacturing units

- Collaborate with planning, production, and quality teams

- Manage inventory levels and reduce lead times

5. Compliance & Quality:

- Ensure procurement adheres to regulatory and quality standards

- Work closely with QA teams for supplier audits and certifications

Candidate Profile:

- 10 - 15+ years of experience in procurement within FMCG / food industry

- Strong hands-on experience in edible oils (olive oil is mandatory)

- Experience in wheat derivatives / maida sourcing is mandatory

- Proven track record in vendor negotiations and cost optimization

- Strong understanding of commodity markets and supply dynamics

- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills

Preferred Background:

- FMCG / Food processing companies

- Experience handling imported commodities (olive oil) is a strong plus

- MBA / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
