Job Description

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize operational efficiency

- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

- Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

- Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery

- Supplier identification, Management and improvements

- New Products & ECN developments and implementations

- Costing, Cost finalization, Commodity price tracking, cost forecast , cost saving and cost management

- Supply capacity planning and development

- Material planning and ensuring smooth supplies of materials to production and sales

- Inventory management

- Ensuring Compliance

- Digitalization

- Procurement analysis, road map and foot print.

- Risk Management

- Localization, Indigenization, Reverse auction & Other best procurement practises

- Inward freight control & optimization

- Supplier optimization

Required skill sets:

- Graduate in Engineering, Post graduate degree in Business administration / supply chain management

- Minimum 20 years experience in Sourcing and Purchase

- Excellent communication skill, English is must, Hindi is preferred

- Excellent analytic, presentation and interpersonal skills.

- Profiency in procurement software and tools.

- Strategic thinking and decision making abilities

- Strategic thinking and decision making abilities

- Knowledge of contract law and vendor management

- Leadership and team management skills

- Familiarity with international procurement regulations and practices

- Should have experience in handling high spend value (Minimum Rs 500 Cr oer annum)

- Excellent negotiation skills
