Head - Procurement & Supply Chain Management - Agri Commodities

Role Purpose :

The role will lead end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations for agri commodities, ensuring efficient sourcing, cost optimization, and seamless movement of goods across the value chain. This is a leadership position responsible for building robust procurement strategies and driving supply chain excellence at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead procurement of key agri commodities across multiple regions

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity

- Manage relationships with farmers, traders, aggregators, and suppliers

- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including logistics, warehousing, and distribution

- Drive cost optimization, inventory management, and working capital efficiency

- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and government policies impacting procurement

- Establish strong vendor management and performance tracking systems

- Ensure compliance with internal governance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and sales

- Build and lead high-performing procurement and supply chain teams

Candidate Profile :

- 15-22 years of experience in procurement and supply chain within agri commodities / FMCG / retail

- Strong experience in large-scale sourcing and supply chain management

- Proven track record of managing complex supply chains and high procurement volumes

- Deep understanding of agri markets, mandis, sourcing networks, and logistics

- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

- Experience working with large, structured organizations preferred
