About the Role:
This is a high-impact leadership role that requires complete ownership of procurement strategy, supply planning, manufacturing coordination and logistics, while ensuring compliance with the regulatory and excise framework governing the alco-beverage industry.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment and enjoys building processes, driving operational excellence and working across multiple functions. The successful candidate will be expected to operate as a business leader rather than a functional specialist, taking ownership from sourcing through delivery while supporting new product launches and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Leadership:
- Lead the end-to-end procurement function across all spend categories.
- Develop sourcing strategies that ensure uninterrupted supply, optimal cost and superior quality.
Manage procurement across:
- RM, PM, Indirect Procurement, CAPEX Procurement, Engineering & Maintenance, etc.
- Build and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contracting and vendor performance management.
- Drive cost optimization and procurement excellence initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Ensure governance, compliance and procurement controls across all categories.
Supply Chain Management:
- Own the complete supply chain from procurement through manufacturing and customer delivery.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align demand, production and inventory.
- Drive production planning in collaboration with brewery operations.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to manufacturing.
- Manage inventory optimization and working capital.
- Oversee warehousing, logistics and finished goods distribution.
- Improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory turns and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement across planning and operational processes.
Excise & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure complete understanding and adherence to excise regulations applicable to the alcoholic beverages industry.
- Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to manage excise documentation, permits and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with excise-related vendors and regulatory stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations.
- Support compliance requirements across different states.
Business Partnership:
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance and Leadership teams to support business growth.
- Lead procurement and supply chain activities for New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI), including sourcing, vendor development, sampling, commercialization and launch readiness.
- Support capacity expansion and new business initiatives.
- Build scalable procurement and supply chain processes to support rapid business growth.
