Head - Procurement & Contracts

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role is pivotal in driving our business forward by ensuring cost-effective procurement and robust contract management, contributing directly to the bottom line and strategic growth.

The Head of Purchase and Contract is expected to :

1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for construction materials, services, and capital goods, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to quality standards.

2. Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and service providers, maintaining strong professional relationships.

3. Coordinate with project managers and other department heads to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement to meet project timelines.

4. Implement and oversee the tendering process, from document preparation to bid evaluation and vendor selection.

5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and contracts in India.

6. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and supply chain risks to adjust strategies proactively.

7. Develop and maintain a sustainable and ethical supply chain.

8. Lead and mentor the procurement team, setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure professional growth and alignment with company goals.

Education Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law or related field. Master's degree preferred.

- At least 10 years of experience in procurement and contract management, specifically in the real estate, infrastructure and hospitality industry.

- Strong negotiation skills and extensive knowledge of contract law.

- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

- Fluent in English and Hindi; additional regional language skills are advantageous

- Proficient in ERP and procurement software.

- Strong Communication skills including effective presentation

- Good interpersonal skills.

- Very Strong leadership skills

- Accuracy and close attention to detail
