Job Description: Head - Private Wealth
Position Overview
A leading Financial Services Company is looking for a visionary, high-integrity leader to build, scale, and steer its Private Wealth business at a national level. This is not a traditional employee role; it is a strategic partnership mandate for someone who thinks like an owner, operates with entrepreneurial agility, and is committed to building a long-term, sustainable franchise.
The ideal candidate brings unwavering ethics, a long-term mindset, and the ability to create an end-to-end wealth management platform from the ground upcovering strategy, people, processes, culture, and market positioning. This is a pan-India leadership role with direct responsibility for business creation, client excellence, and long-term value building.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build & Lead the Private Wealth Vertical (From Ground Zero)
- Architect the complete Private Wealth business - strategy, structure, offerings, governance, and long-term growth blueprint.
- Build a differentiated, client-first advisory platform rooted in transparency, ethics, and long-term value creation.
- Drive alignment across technology, operations, compliance, research, risk, and marketing to bring the Private Wealth vision to life.
2. Entrepreneurial Leadership & Team Creation
- Hire, groom, and lead a high-performance national team of Wealth Managers, Investment Counsellors, and specialists.
- Establish a culture of ownership, accountability, ethics, and long-term commitment. Mentor talent to think like partners, not employees, while instilling a performance-driven and client-centric ethos across the vertical.
3. Business Growth & National Market Expansion
- Create and execute a scalable client acquisition strategy targeting HNI/UHNI clients and family offices across India.
- Build national partnerships, alliances, and referral networks to accelerate business momentum.
- Deepen product penetration and drive wallet-share expansion with a sustainable and ethical advisory approach.
4. Client Advisory Excellence & Relationship Leadership
- Personally lead key HNI/UHNI relationships with a long-term, trust-first mindset.
- Deliver tailored, multi-asset class wealth solutions - Equity, Debt, PMS, AIFs, Bonds, Insurance, Estate Planning, Alternates, etc.
- Establish a superior client review framework reflecting global private banking standards.
5. Governance, Compliance & Ethical Stewardship
- Ensure 100% adherence to SEBI, RBI, IRDAI and internal governance norms. Build industry-best compliance and risk management protocols.
- Promote a culture of ethics, transparency, and fiduciary responsibility, making client-first thinking a non-negotiable core value.
6. P&L Leadership & Long-Term Value Creation
- Own the national P&L, revenue strategy, profitability, and sustainable business economics.
- Build long-term financial models, budgets, and growth projections aligned with the companys strategic horizon.
- Drive responsible scaling with a focus on longevity, quality, and franchise value.
