Head - Portfolio Management Services Operations

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

- Oversee the entire PMS operations cycle - account opening, KYC verification, fund accounting, trade settlement, and client reporting.

- Manage coordination with custodians, brokers, fund accountants, RTA, and banks for seamless operational execution.

- Ensure daily reconciliation of client holdings, cash, and transactions.

- Monitor and verify portfolio valuations, corporate actions, and performance reports.

- Supervise trade uploads, settlement processes, and allocation as per regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Regulatory & Risk Oversight

- Ensure full compliance with SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020, and related circulars.

- Maintain and periodically review operational controls, SOPs, and checklists.

- Coordinate with auditors and compliance officers for internal and external audits.

- Support in preparation and submission of regulatory reports and client disclosures.

Technology & Process Efficiency

- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve accuracy and turnaround time.

- Evaluate and implement PMS systems / software for reporting, reconciliation, and client interface.

- Identify process gaps and streamline workflows for scalability and control.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.

- Liaise closely with fund managers, compliance and client servicing teams to ensure operational excellence.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for custodians, auditors, and SEBI queries relating to operations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Postgraduate qualification (MBA Finance / CA / CFA) is mandatory.

- Experience: 8-10 years of total experience in PMS or AIF operations.

- Deep understanding of PMS regulatory framework, fund accounting, settlements, and reconciliations.

- Hands-on exposure to custodian systems and PMS operations software (e.g., Miles, Axys, WealthSpectrum, InvestWell, etc.).

- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

- High integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and process orientation.
