Head - Plant Finance - Manufacturing

Role Overview:

As the Plant Finance Head, you will serve as the financial anchor for our manufacturing operations, bridging the gap between factory floor efficiency and corporate financial strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire financial lifecycle of the plant, including cost accounting, budgetary control, and statutory compliance. In this role, you will work closely with the Plant Head, operations teams, and regional finance leadership to drive cost optimization, improve margins, and ensure robust internal controls. Your insights will directly influence operational decision-making, ensuring that the plant remains a high-performing, profitable asset while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end costing process to provide accurate product margin analysis, enabling management to make data-driven pricing and production decisions.

- Spearhead the annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecast process, ensuring alignment between operational targets and the organizations financial objectives.

- Manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, including GST and local levies, to ensure 100% compliance and mitigate financial risks for the manufacturing unit.

- Oversee the monthly financial closing process, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and the accuracy of financial reporting for plant performance.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements that enhance overall plant productivity and bottom-line growth.

- Lead internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors to ensure transparent financial practices and timely resolution of audit observations.

Required Skillset:

- Proven expertise in manufacturing finance, specifically in cost accounting methodologies and variance analysis, to drive operational efficiency.

- Strong command over statutory taxation frameworks and regulatory compliance, ensuring the plant operates within the legal requirements of the region.
