Head - Planning - Foundry & Machine Shop

Role: Head Planning

Experience: 15 - 20 Years

Education: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Background: Foundry and machine shop experience

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage monthly production plans for FMC and non-FMC products.

- Analyze production capacity against sales targets and prepare subcontracting plans where required.

- Prepare and circulate week-wise production loading plans to relevant departments.

- Monitor machine and material availability, work in progress, and production priorities.

- Coordinate with the Purchase team to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials.

- Track due and overdue castings, prioritize production schedules, and monitor in-house and subcontract work to ensure on-time completion.

- Ensure machining activities are completed within agreed lead times and coordinate with departments to resolve process delays.

- Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely movement and dispatch of castings and finished goods.

- Monitor monthly sales/production budgets against actual performance and take action to minimize backlogs.

- Work with Customer Support to align order requirements with budget and delivery targets.

- Maintain required statutory and planning documentation.

- Identify excess and slow-moving inventory, explore alternatives for material utilization, and coordinate with Stores to reduce or dispose of unused surplus stock.
