Head - Planning - Consumer Appliances & Electronics

A market-leading consumer appliances & electronics organization, backed by a global private equity fund, is appointing a Head - Planning to lead enterprise planning across product and service value chains. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this role is critical to driving service excellence, inventory efficiency and cost discipline during a transformation phase.

Team: ~10 members (4 direct reports)

Compensation: Up to - 50 LPA (80/20 fixed-variable) + ESOPs

Job Description:

- Lead demand, supply, inventory and S&OP planning across products and spares/service categories

- Own planning processes built on SAP IBP, integrated with SAP MM

- Manage inventory and distribution planning systems across complex, multi-channel networks

- Drive planning analytics using Excel and Power BI dashboards

- Align capacity planning across plants, vendors and service partners

- Partner closely with Sales, Service, Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance and Procurement

- Build and lead a structured, performance-driven planning team

Success Profile:

- A mature S&OP framework with clear cadence and executive alignment

- Strong improvement in forecast accuracy, inventory turns and service levels

- Effective control of working capital, stock-outs and obsolescence

- Delivery of cost reduction, SKU rationalisation and process improvement initiatives

- High credibility and influence across senior stakeholders

Experience & Background:

Education:

BTech / BE with MBA from a Tier 1 institute

Experience:

- 8-12 years post-MBA experience in Supply Chain Planning

- Mandatory exposure to Consumer Appliances / Consumer Durables / Electronics

- Experience across product planning and/or spares/service planning environments

- Exposure to large turnover, high-SKU, multi-channel operations

Competencies:

- Strong systems orientation (SAP IBP / SAP MM / BI tools)

- Data-led decision making and execution rigor

- Ability to influence without authority

- Agility in fast-paced, transformation-led organizations
